Harry – The best stallion of 2012

The icelandic horse Harry fra Stugudal is voted the best stallion of 2012 by the organization for icelandic horses in Norway, Hrani. I had the pleasure of meeting this stallion in 2004. He was only three years old then, had been found of excellent quality on a horse exhibition, and was just let loose on mountain pasture with his own herd of mares. Needless to say, Harry was very pleased. The stallion now have a new owner and he is used for riding competitions. I have more pictures of Harry and his breeder An-Magritt Morset in my photo gallery. She has her own website, Stugudalshester. And here is a link to, Félag hrossabænda, The Horse Breeders Association in Iceland.

  1. The village I lived in in Iceland had a strong horse affiliation and introduced me to the Icelandic breed. Quite special! Your post again brought back great memories from my ‘youth’.
