Something green

Some of the green things I explored lying down on the forest floor in the woods nearby yesterday. The plant above is Paris quadrifolia, ready to roll out her four, green leaves.

  1. The colour combinations are great. (Like on the fourth one – the blue and green). Isn’t it amazing the things that you see when you go close up? Such insignificant things until we take the time to notice them.

  2. I like the way you play with depth of field, with some parts in focus and some parts out of focus. My favourite is the second to last, exactly for that reason. In addition the colours from deep blue to fresh green is a blast. Finally I really like the simple composition.

  3. Very unique and new! I love this idea & these photos (: The last one is an amazing capture! Really loving the lighting in Photo #1 and #5! Thanks for sharing!

  4. What a lovely series of images, Bente.
The first and last photos are my favourites. Perhaps as much for that olive green colour as the actual moss & plants.
    Thanks for sharing.
I’d love to see some more taken from this angle. Must be a refreshing change after all those months of snow.

  5. I’m so glad I’ve discovered your blog! I’ve been reading it for a while, but this is my first comment. I’m a bit obsessed with very young leaves and their impossible-to-describe colour, so I really fell in love with these photos.

I grinned when I read that everybody has a favourite. Me? I like them all! ^^
