Dance and celebration

I went to a traditional village Christmas dance a few days ago. And I guess some of you are dancing your way into the new year. I find that a very good way of celebration. Happy New Year!

  1. I haven’t been to a village dance like that for a long time. It looks like it was a lot of fun Bente. Have a very Happy New Year and I look forward to many more posts. 🙂

  2. Lovely shots – ahhh “village rocking dance” – miss it ‘hahaha’ – reminds me of the good old days before education, job and so on made it necessary to move to the big city – but my black shoes were always shiny… 🙂 😉

Happy New Year to You and Yours… 🙂

      1. So-called foot-work is a pattern. I spent 3 years to get lid of all the pattern, and the foot is just stepping with the percussion’s rhythm. Where to step is depend on upper-body’s balance. 🙂
—– I found, you got 10,000 more hit than me 😉
I wish you to have even more prolific 2013, Bente !

      2. I like to see both impressionistic and expressionistic footwork, both instincts and scills on a dancefloor. People are usually more inclined in some African countries than in Norway, but dance is for everybody. More prolific 2013 for you too, Yoshizen.

  3. Agreed – dancing is a wonderful way of expressing joy! I used to dance with a professional when I was young. Loved it. Nowadays there is no dancing at all. Your pictures bring sweet reminiscence…Have a great year 2013!

  4. Dancing is not in our bag of tricks . . . more like watching The Lord of The Rings trilogy, starting a few days ago, and leading up to the end this evening.

Best wishes for you and yours for a great 2013.
