The nights are already getting darker, in fact pitch-dark at about 10. But we can still enjoy the summer in daytime. And in the mountains the natural wildflower meadows are now at their best. Here are some harebells (Campanula rotundifolia), red clover (Trifolium pratense) and alpine bistort (Bistortia vivipara). I hope you enjoy some wildflowers too. Here are som more pictures on this link Pictures of Norwegian wildflowers

My choice today. Was longing for a North European landscape this morning. And here is Bente from Norway who says it like the Dutch; with flowers.

Lovely flowers. I am jealous that it stays light so long! I know ten seems early to you after your long summer days, but it is dark here before eight. I miss the longer days already!

You have long summer days in the north but then it ends quickly and you have those long winter nights. Good thing you have beautiful photos like these to remind you of the beautiful, though short, summer.

Beautiful mix of colors… Well, in eastern time Canada darkness is around 8- 8:15 Montreal. This is the end of the Blue Hour. You’re still lucky to have light till 10. 🙂

The flowers are so lovely — ethereal, and delicate. I especially like the grasses mixed in with them. Somehow, it makes it seem more meadow-like.

These are lovely, and I particularly appreciated the way you focused, so some flowers are sharply etched and others form a lovely, gauzy surround.

Your long summer days produce a lot of beauty. Dark at ten is the norm here, even when our summer days are at their longest.

The harebells are beautiful, and beautifully captured in your images. Love the wide aperture. Dark at 10! In midsummer here, it’s dark by 8 or 8:30.

Kram!
